Here we have great 1941 Martin F-1 archtop that has been converted to a style 21 The conversion was done by Joel Whitehead. The guitar tuners are origanal to the guitar with original dot inlays.
Things to know about the instrument:
New AAA Adirondack spruce top with scalloped 1/4” scalloped bracing
Nut width is 1.750''
Width from e to e at bridge is 2.277''. scale length 24-7/8”
new ebony belly bridge with bone saddle and Ebony bridge pins
New liquor aged finish to top to match the rest of the guitar
Sides back and neck looked to have been oversprayed at some point.
The neck sides and back and finger board are original
Sides and back are Honduran mahogany with mahogany neck.
The guitar has been completely re fretted along with a new bone nut.
The guitar plays wonderful has a large stunning tone to it.
Things original to the guitar include:
Neck sides and back, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard neck block, tail block, back bracing ,center strip, Martin peg head, back cellulose binding with end graft.
There are lots of scrapes, scratches, dings dents and superficial blemishes all over the instrument. As you will notice from the photos that I have provide.
The top has been aged to match the rest of the guitar.
Guitar comes with a aftermarket case.
