Gibson LG1, to LG2 X brace conversion 1966

Sale Price: $2,800.00 Original Price: $3,850.00

Here we have a super cool 1966 Gibson Lg-1 that has been X braced and converted to a Lg-2

Things that were done to this instrument guitar The guitar has had its original top re Voiced, X braced, with 5/16 scalloped forward shifted bracing pattern with 5/16 scalloped tone bars, and appropriately sized head, brace and finger braces along with a small maple Bridge plate. The back has had all bracing re-glued and center maple reinforcement spine has been added similar to how an original LG-2 two would be constructed. The guitar also had a new replacement Rosewood bridge made for it and new bone saddle. The guitar obtain its aftermarket kluson tuners that have been installed. The guitar looks to have had a small head stock repair at some point This wasn't something that was broken at the top of the neck on there right and left side of the wings of the headstock most likely something due to the old tuners being removed incorrectly. chipping up wood the headstock has been recently reinforced and overspray and blended correctly. Structurally more sound than it would've been originally now. The guitar still does obtain its original serial number stamped on the head stock. Guitar has had a neck, reset recur, correcting the geometry of this instrument. Geometry of the instrument is spot on now guitar plays and sound great. This conversion Definitely made a miraculous change to this guitar. The guitar does have lots of little nicks chips, dings dents, and superficial blemishes all over it as you will also notice in the photos that I have provided the guitar comes with a aftermarket case please feel free to ask any other questions you might have.
