1950s Kay Jumbo converted to X brace

$3,250.00

For sale is a great 1950s Kay Kraftsman Jumbo that has been converted to an X-braced pattern. The guitar has undergone extensive professional work, including a neck reset, complete re fret, new bone nut and saddle, and a replacement bridge to correct intonation.

The guitar plays exceptionally well, with excellent neck geometry and comfortable action throughout the fretboard. While it shows its age cosmetically, it delivers a fantastic sound and is a joy to play.

There are numerous vintage top crack repairs that were recently reinforced and stabilized during the re-bracing process. Please review the photos carefully, as they show the repaired areas in detail.

The guitar is fitted with replacement Kluson tuners and includes an aftermarket hard case.

Cosmetically, the instrument has plenty of honest wear, including nicks, chips, dings, dents, scratches, and other superficial blemishes consistent with a well-played vintage guitar.

If you're looking for a great-playing, great-sounding vintage jumbo with lots of character, this Kay is well worth considering.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or requests for additional photos.
