1955 Marin d-28
Here we have a super cool 1955 Martin D-28. As you notice guitar is in great condition. Guitar has recently had various repairs done to it such as a neck reset along with a complete re fret with new bone nut and saddle. Guitar has also had a replacement Ebony bridge made for it along with a new slightly oversized maple bridge plate for structural purposes. Back has one crack that has been resealed as you notice from the photos that I have provided. 1 2 3 4th braces have had eyelids re-glued. Guitar has also had two center x-brace cleats installed. reason for this repair was a typical treble pick guard crack quite typical from this type of instrument as well as a bass side crack, repair from Bass side of bridge going perpendicular to Pic Gard reason for this repair was someone tried removing the bridge previously on this guitar and created the damage. All is well now, though. Reason for replacement, Ebony Bridge was original bridge had screw holes in either side. Looks like lower part of the x-brace was compromised, but now has been filled where the screw holes went in. You can see the new repair from the photos that I have provided. Guitar plays unbelievable probably one of the nicest sounding D 28. I've had in a long time. Guitar is all original minus the replacement bridge and bridge plate. There are lots of Nick's chips, dings dents, and superficial blemishes all over the instrument as you will notice from the photos that I have provided. The guitar comes with an aftermarket hardshell case. Please feel free to ask any other questions you might have
