1973 Martin D-12-20 Acoustic Guitar – good Condition

Here we have a super cool 1973 Martin D-12-20 acoustic guitar. As you’ll notice from the photos, the guitar is in great overall good condition for its age.

The guitar has recently received a neck reset, correcting the geometry of the instrument. It now plays and sounds fantastic.

In addition to the neck reset, the guitar has had the following work and modifications:

  • Replacement black pickguard

  • The typical pickguard crack on the upper bass side has been professionally sealed and cleated

  • A small headstock repair appears to have been done at some point in the guitar’s life. It looks to be primarily cosmetic and is holding solid

  • Replacement tuners have been installed at some point in its history

Cosmetically, the guitar does have plenty of little nicks, chips, dings, dents, and other superficial blemishes throughout, consistent with its age and history. Please refer closely to the photos for the overall condition.

The guitar comes with its original blue hardshell case.

Overall, this is a really cool vintage Martin that has had the important structural work completed and is currently playing and sounding fantastic.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I’m happy to provide additional photos or information upon request.
