Here we have a super cold 1940s Kalamazoo kg-14 X brace conversion. The conversion consisted of the guitar being completely re-topped with Adirondack spruce along with 5/16 tapered x brace and Tone bars, scalloped, bracing and small maple Bridge plate with appropriately sized head, brace and side supports. The guitar top has been shot with an accurately executed sunburst nitro cellulose lacquer finish that has been aged to match the rest of the guitar guitar also has a lacquer in celluloid Pic Gard as well. The guitar has been completely re fretted along with new Ebony nut and Brazilian Rosewood Bridge with bone saddle. Tuners are not original to the guitar but our period correct for this in instruments year. All back bracing and interior lining is original along with its head block and tail block sides, back and neck with fingerboard are original as well. Guitar plays and sounds unbelievable. Definitely opened this thing up a lot. The guitar does have lots of little chips, dings dents, and superficial blemishes all over it as you will notice from the photos that I've provided the guitar comes with an aftermarket case.
